When you invest in Scouting, you help create a better world by empowering future leaders. Through Scouting programs, young people discover the importance of teamwork, develop problem-solving abilities, and learn to lead with integrity. Your generous support provides resources for innovative programs, outdoor adventures, and mentorship that nurture confidence and a solid moral compass.
James E. West Fellowship
To become a James E. West Fellow, a donor makes a gift of at least $1,000 in cash or marketable securities to a local council endowment fund, in addition to annual Friends of Scouting support. This qualifies for Bronze level membership. Larger recognition levels (Silver, Gold, Diamond) can be reached through cumulative giving, for example, five years at Bronze equals Silver.
Gifts are often made in honor or memory of individuals, such as Eagle Scouts, Silver Beaver recipients, retirements, anniversaries, or other special achievements.
Good Turn Society
Donors who make a new gift of $25,000 or more (since January 1, 2023) are eligible for induction into the Good Turn Society at their lifetime giving level.
Members exemplify the Scouting values of service, leadership, and commitment to developing future leaders, and are recognized as Scouting’s heroes.
Induction includes tier-based recognition such as a personalized proclamation, lapel pin, challenge coin, medallion, and access to an exclusive event.
